Painting and Motown

Amanda has been here and we have PAINTED! We painted the entire kitchen/living room (one big room), hallway, and up the stairwell. WHEW! Two coats of Kenya paint color (rich caramely taupe) from Home Depot and we are set.
During the second coat we listened to Motown.

We started to notice that there are a ton of Motown songs that are relevant to adoption.

For instance:

Signed Sealed Delivered
"Here I am baby (signed, sealed delivered, I'm yours)"

And:
Can't Hurry Love

"I need to find, find someone to call mine
But mama said

You can't hurry love
No, you just have to wait
She said love don't come easy
It's a game of give and take

You can't hurry love
No, you just have to wait
You got to trust, give it time
No matter how long it takes

But how many heartaches
Must I stand before I find a love"

There was one more, but now after all that painting we can't remember....
The house looks great. We have a couple more rooms left, but we made SO MUCH PROGRESS TODAY!!!

Any other Motown songs out there that you can think of that when you look at through the lens of adoption they have a cool meaning?

Daniel suggested the song Son of a Preacher Man...guess he is hopeful for a boy in the future. :)
