Adventure in Chicago

Last night we drove to Chicago so that Daniel could sing with the group Light of Love in the studio for their new CD. It was such a cool experience. Daniel was impressed with the studio and all their vintage gear. It was called Tone Zone and was in downtown Chicago.

Of course traffic was terrible but we made it. We got to see a cool trendy part of Chicago that we'd never seen before. (Kinda reminded me of a Green Hills area of Nashville times 10.) Also we drove by an area with tons of basketball goals and people out playing. I totally felt like I was in a movie. It was just exactly what I expected to see in Chicago. Wow!

Daniel sang and sang and they of course were blown away. It was a lot of fun. The girls in the group Light of Love are all sisters which adds a fun flavor to the group. They can joke around and seem to have a blast. You can tell they've been doing this for awhile. They each seemed like they respect each others opinion and work so well together.

After finishing up the song Daniel was singing on we went to eat at Uncle Julio's (mexican food)....yum!

We fought traffic again and headed out to St. Sabina for a gospel concert. Daniel sang a little medley of worship tunes with the Light of Love girls as his background singers. He also sang Hold On. There were many other groups/singers as well. It was such a fun worship time. So very free and soulful. Donnie McClurkin was the main guy and he went on right after us.
It was all a part of the Perfecting Music Conference.

Manny was a champ with all the traveling and excitement of the night. He was in such a good mood. And of course everyone though he was just such a handsome little guy and they were impressed with how good he was. :)
