2 Cheers for Southwest Airlines

I booked a ticket from Southwest Airlines about a week ago. I was headed to Clarksville to pick up the Trailblazer and trailer. At the time we made these plans my dad said he could bring the truck and trailer up the next Saturday. We needed it before then so I said I'd just fly down and get it.
Last Friday my dad was laid off from work. Very sad for him to have to start the job search all over again, but he seems to be up for the challenge and is looking at it as a blessing in disguise. **So if you know of any job openings for an electrician in the Nashville/Clarksville area just let us know. :)
So now my dad's schedule is conveniently clear and he can drive the truck/trailer up to Valpo for us earlier in the week and will fly back the next day. He and I both love to drive so the task was appealing to both of us. The only thing holding us back was the Southwest ticket that I had already purchased. I called today and they easily canceled the ticket and I was able to purchase a new one for my dad. VERY EASY! And I saved $20! There were no cancellation fees or extra charges involved.
We flew to Denver and then California on Frontier a couple of weeks ago and we noted that the experience just wasn't as nice as our past flights on Southwest. (plus the fees for bags that Southwest includes...) I'm pretty sure from now on we will be loyal Southwest customers.

Which airline do you fly with the most? Do you use hotwire type services to book your flights or purchase directly through the airline?

That's why I always use Southwest if I can...

The one thing I don't like about them is open seating. I have to have an aisle seat. I like that with other airlines I can pick exactly where I want to sit...

I love Southwest, too! I have used them in conjunction with my military flights from Germany. Since these military flights are always up in the air, I usually have to change my ticket a few times. Once I did it three times in a week and SW was super accomodating. Last spring I had to cancel one altogether and they are allowing me to keep my ticket for one year and I could transfer the balance to anyone-including you! Most airlines make you or a family member use it, but they are much more flexible...not to mention that their customer service people are SO friendly. I could go on and on! Go Southwest!
