Today

Well today I went to Sango to help with testing. Then I came home and was making a sandwich when the electricity went out. They ended up closing two schools because the electricity didn't come on for such a long time. ugh. Then Daniel called and told me to look and see if we had a package. And sure enough we did. On the front porch was the latest Daniel Doss Band CD (just the rough draft) as I like to call it. It's the closest thing to the final record that we've gotten to hear so far. I was so excited, but then disappointed because we have no electricity. Sooo Suzy and I hopped in the car and off we went, driving around town to simply listen to the new CD. I LOVE IT AND I CAN'T WAIT FOR YOU TO HEAR IT!!! It sounds absolutely amazing. Hopefully a couple songs will be on the radio this fall (which is SO SOOON!!!) And then the CD will hopefully be out by January.

It's really exciting to wait in anticipation for something and then get a glimpse of it. I feel like we are pregnant (waiting for the release of the CD.) And today I had an ultrasound. (glimpse of what is to come.) ***For those of you who just skimmed that be sure that you saw the words "feel like" and realize that part is a metaphor!!! WE ARE NOT REALLY PREGNANT. :)

Go check out the DDB myspace they have updated it recently and you can hear some of his music. :)

I'm glad I re-read that! Thanks for playing along on the previous post!

It's funny, every once in a while one of his really old songs from BSU praise band will pop into my head.

Can't wait to hear his music on the air!

The Chockley's can't wait for the release either. Especially Ella cause every afternoon after nap time I have her dancing to the DDB cd. It's a hoot I wish Daniel could see it!

Hi Emily, I found your blog a while back and have enjoyed reading it. I am enjoying you and your husband's journey through this process of getting into the Christian music business and I look forward to listening to your husband's music. A boy from my church is in a band that somehow got that big break and they've had a number one song. It's been so exciting to watch what God has done for them.
I'll keep checking back here.
