Home Sweet Home Again

So we're home. The true mark of that was that we went to Wal-mart and bought real groceries, not just enough for one or two meals and 1/2 a gallon of milk. We've been traveling so much this summer that I've missed cooking and eating healthy. When I'm in charge I know I can make things taste good and be good for us. It's much easier for me to make healthy choices in the grocery store than it is in a restaurant.

My fav. healthy meals that I'm been missing:
Spaghetti with whole grain noodles and turkey meat sauce
Turkey Burgers on whole grain buns
Sandwiches (Cheers to Amanda for best built sandwich at the beach)
Chicken strips salad

***sorry for writing a whole blog about grocery shopping, but I was so excited to be home and get to do this. Isn't it funny that even the normal things can be exciting when you haven't done them in awhile.

Your apology made me laugh. I ended up creating a day-by-day topic because I tend to post about the mundane things like grocery shopping, chores, etc...

Welcome home! I had the challenge of going to the grocery store and trying not to overdo it since we'll be heading out for vacation on Saturday morning. I bought a few too many unhealthy snacks... oops...

Doesn't it feel weird to not be getting ready for the school year? I felt out of place when the back-to-school promos came out and I wasn't getting my lessons plans ready or going to inservice.
