Bath Junkie
At Christmas '07 my friend Holly got me a jar of the best Bath Salt Scrub ever. I was thrown off because she gave me some and Melanie some. Mine was yellow (fav. color) and Mel's was blue/green but they had the same smell. **Think about it usually the smell and scent go together- think about your last trip to Bath and Body...*** She got them at the Bath Junkie store in Hendersonville at Indian Lakes. Daniel and I went there this weekend. It's such a fun store. There are tons of different products to choose from. Then there are different smells you can choose or blend then you choose the color. And then my favorite part you got to watch her mix it all together. She took the bath detox rocks that I chose dumped them in a huge bowl and mixed in some aloe stuff and some liquidy smell stuff and then sprayed on the color. It was such a cool process...I can't describe it well w/ words. Go check it out!

Pack Rat (It's in my gene's)
I got to visit my grandmother this weekend.
She is a pack rat.
A pack rat is defined as a person who collects or hoards especially unneeded items.
The problem is she has passed down this trait to my dad. (My mom received the trait none the less from her side of the family as well.)
So therefore I have the double dominant Pack Rat gene.
I have to fight against it. It's due to the fact that we see those "unneeded items" as great treasures that may be needed in the future. If we could categorize them as "unneeded items" we'd more than likely get rid of them.
So hopefully we'll be able to get rid of some "unneeded" stuff during this move. We plan on having a yard sale, but we are hoping to sell our house first. That way we'll be able to put an offer on a house up there and see exactly how much space we'll have. We maybe selling a lot of furniture, or we maybe selling a little furniture. We'll just have to wait and see.

Great Day
Today I was able to go hang out w/ Holly. We went to Cross Point Church and I loved it. If Daniel wasn't on staff at a church and we lived in Nashville I would want to go there. The music was rockin' and the pastor was excellent. The pastor has a blog- check it out http://withoutwax.tv/. The sermon series they are on right now is called Hope Now. Very cool graphics on everything- screens, signs, bulletins, ect. Anyway the sermon was excellent and was exactly what I needed to hear in this time of waning hope towards a child entering our home and the hope of our house selling quickly. He said we not only have to trust God's power, but also His timing. oh yea. exactly what I needed to hear.
Anyway- after that Holly and I met up w/ her brother Scott for lunch at J. Alexander's. YUM! Then Holly and I went to get pedicures. yea! Very fun day. :)

Trip to Valpo
We got to go to Valparaiso, Indiana a few weeks ago and lead worship at the first pre-launch service for Gracepoint Church. (When I say we ya'll know I really mean Daniel, but I got to tag along.) We'll be up there full time starting May 1st.
We spent the night with some new friends and she just happened to have a winter coat that I could HAVE. Yes I said HAVE as in a gift. ***Please note my love language is gifts!!!*** I was so excited!
We took pics of Daniel practicing for the worship service the next morning (w/ Will and Alison McKelvey) then in the middle of them I got my new coat- Daniel said it looks like worship practice and Christmas mixed together. I think the pics will speak for themselves.

The inside liner of the coat zips out.

Also warm PJ's are required when you move to Indiana I've heard. :)

Loveless Cafee!!!
A few weeks ago some of our best friends were in town for spring break. Duke wanted to go to the Loveless Cafe- he'd seen it on the Food Network and they had been there before. Daniel and I didn't really know what to expect, but had heard great things. Wondering if it would live up to the rave reviews we drove there from Clarksville. It was actually quite a trek, but well worth it! To say it's in Nashville is not really accurate, since I didn't drive I couldn't really tell you how to get there, but if you ever get the chance you should check it out!

Friends
It has been bittersweet to connect w/ friends to hang out lately. Knowing that this is a time of good-bye's and that these ladies have meant so much to me while living here in Clarksville makes our connecting even harder.
Today I got to eat lunch w/ a sweet friend. We don't get to connect very often, but when we do I feel like I can pour my heart out to her. I know that she is a genuine follower of Christ and I look up to her in many ways. She inspires me to be better. She caught me in church one week and could just tell I was having a bad day. She let me pour my heart out and from that day on she has kept our family held up in prayer. Neither of us expected the answer to our prayers to take us away from Grace Community in Clarksville, but we are trusting God w/ the details and glad that He is interested in answering our prayers at all.
I desire to be a woman of prayer like her. She is an amazing example of someone who is living out her life for Jesus. Thanks for lunch sweet friend. I will cherish our talks and will look forward to your visits to Valpo. :)

New Years Resolutions
I know I know it's April....
But I just had to tell you about my New Years. :)
This past January Daniel and I had a little deal. We weren't going to call them resolutions because we just break those. But we made a list of things we regretted in '08 and a list of things we were hopeful for in 'O9.
A couple into '09 we got the word from Sparrow Records that they weren't going to have the Daniel Doss Band make a second album with their label. At the end of January we got word of a possible adoption...then the let down a couple of weeks later that the birth mom had chosen someone else. Needless to say '09 started off in the pits. All my scripture memory verses were get me out of this pit kind of verses.
Check out how God is working though...He's giving me exactly what I was hopeful for in ways that I never imagined.
2009 Things I am Hopeful For: (compiled in Jan. 2009; here's just a portion)
-Enlarging our family, with a beautiful healthy baby.
-Feeling satisfied in doing what God has called me to and knowing what that is.
-For Daniel to write hit songs. (He's had tons of co-writing sessions lately and written tons of songs.)
-A get-a-way that is romantic and wonderful. Think about all the cool places we'll be close to when we move- a weekend trip will take us to some amazing places we've never seen. **Karen has some great ideas to send my way...
-A desire to pray and know God more. (Heather- not only made me cry when I saw her on Sunday, but gave me the best words of wisdom saying I will grow so much through this entire experience. I'm going to miss our coffee dates.)
-Being able to maintain a tight budget and live on less. (Isn't that cool since there maybe added expenses while moving, we'll be at least a little prepared.)
-Daniel being content in his calling and knowing what that is. (KABOOM!)
-A clean house and motivation to clean it. (If selling a house isn't motivation to keep it clean I don't know what is. ha!)
AND THE LAST ONE.....
-GOD ROCKING OUR WORLD IN WAYS WE NEVER THOUGHT POSSIBLE. Yep that was on my list of things I was hopeful for in 2009. And now I'm staring it in the face- God is rocking our world in ways we definitely never thought possible.
Although they haven't all turned out the way I projected they are happening...the things I was hopeful for are actually in the process of happening! (Not all of them, but hey it's only April and I can still be hopeful right?!?)
