not what we expected to hear

Mrs. Carolyn (Daniel's mom) went for her Cancer check-up on Friday after a year of being Cancer free. We had a concert in Cape Girardeau that night that she and Bro. Elwood were planning on coming to. We were setting up for the concert and getting things ready when Daniel got the call from his parents. They had found cancer again. This time it is in a couple of her lymph nodes and there is a tumor near her gallbladder. Last time it was too bad to operate on so they tried chemo. This time they will try that same chemo again, but they will spread it out over time since they have found the cancer early enough and it isn't as aggressive. She has had a great spirit about it and today she starts her chemo again. It's not the news we expected to hear and we really didn't have time to take it all in at that moment, but we are ready for the challenge. I hate that we are now 8 hours away, but we can pray pray pray and that is what we will do!

2 Cheers for Southwest Airlines

I booked a ticket from Southwest Airlines about a week ago. I was headed to Clarksville to pick up the Trailblazer and trailer. At the time we made these plans my dad said he could bring the truck and trailer up the next Saturday. We needed it before then so I said I'd just fly down and get it.
Last Friday my dad was laid off from work. Very sad for him to have to start the job search all over again, but he seems to be up for the challenge and is looking at it as a blessing in disguise. **So if you know of any job openings for an electrician in the Nashville/Clarksville area just let us know. :)
So now my dad's schedule is conveniently clear and he can drive the truck/trailer up to Valpo for us earlier in the week and will fly back the next day. He and I both love to drive so the task was appealing to both of us. The only thing holding us back was the Southwest ticket that I had already purchased. I called today and they easily canceled the ticket and I was able to purchase a new one for my dad. VERY EASY! And I saved $20! There were no cancellation fees or extra charges involved.
We flew to Denver and then California on Frontier a couple of weeks ago and we noted that the experience just wasn't as nice as our past flights on Southwest. (plus the fees for bags that Southwest includes...) I'm pretty sure from now on we will be loyal Southwest customers.

Which airline do you fly with the most? Do you use hotwire type services to book your flights or purchase directly through the airline?
