Daniel and I celebrated our 7th anniversary on May 27th!!! We took a little trip to Chattanooga, TN which is a great city to visit. They have a nice mall area with great places to eat. They have a cool down town area with the Aquarium and they have Lookout Mountain....I always thought that Lookout Mountain was kinda like the top of Gatlinburg, but it's not at all. It's more spread out and each event is separate. On the mountain (within driving range, not walking range) they have the Incline Railway, a Civil War Fort, Rock City, and Ruby Falls. We went to Rock City and Ruby Falls. We enjoyed them both and had lots of fun on our trip. It's funny how each person we told that we were going to Chattanooga had different advice...do this....don't do this, it's not worth the $$$, etc. We had fun and did just the right things for us. We went to Rock City early in the morning and there weren't many people there. I can imagine not liking it at all if it was crowded. We didn't do the incline because it seemed to go straight up the mountain and I wasn't for that kind of adventure, but another couple told us that we should definately do that. soooo for us it was a great get-a-way, but if you go be sure to do your own thing and choose your own adventures! :)

My Soap Opera
Daniel makes fun of me because I LOVE to watch NEWS CHANNEL 5.
Yes this is what I'm refering to as my soap opera. I watch not only for the news coverage, but for the inside scoop into the newscasters lives. I think they are my friends. :) My favorite parts of the newscasts are the transitions between the news anchor and the weatherman. Sometimes they give glimpses into their personal lives and that is what I like to see.
As long as I've been alive Chris Clark has been the main newscaster for the 5pm, 6pm, and 10pm news slots. I grew up watching News Channel 5. Luckily I didn't go too far away to college and I was still able to watch it there as well. This past week they have had tributes to him because he is retiring today after 41 years in Nashville and 46 years in the industry. **Even Oprah had words of thanks to Chris for hiring her early in her career.**
I'm happy for him, but very very sad to see him go. I will continue to be a News Channel 5 junkie....espeically now that they are the only local channel to have HiDef news. His last words were of humility and that he was proud to be a part of something great. He gave honor to the other members of the News Channel 5 staff who are behind the scenes.
Goodbye Chris (yes I think we are on a first name basis, although I've never met him) have fun with your grandsons! You will be missed!!!

It's Official
I'm done with school and I no longer have a job!!!!! EEEEKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!
It's also official that Daniel Doss is a signed singer/songwriter for Sparrow Records. He signed the official contract and will begin recording in the next couple of weeks!!!!!!!!!
I'll be going to camp with them this summer!!! I'm pretty pumped that God is allowing us to go on this journey.
Look for a single out in Sept/Oct and a full length CD out in January '08. That sounds like such a long long time from now.....
Anyway here are a few pics from my school.

resignation
I resigned from my job this week. This was a major decision, because I love what I do.
I'm stepping out on faith that this new journey is what God wants me to do. Please pray for all the details of me joining Daniel in this ministry of touring/traveling with the band. It all sounds like fun, but the reality will be hard work and grueling nights. Please pray that God would prepare me for this next step and that all the details of my job would work out. I don't know my responsibilities yet and I do love to know details and plan ahead. thanks, Emily
